Project Description

The former Read’s Hotel which featured briefly in the 2009 feature movie ‘That Damned United’ (being miraculously transported to the South Coast) was converted into ten apartments finished to a high standard. KFB were invited to complete this project when the original contractor became insolvent and left the building in an unsafe condition. The majority of the external walls needed to be strengthened, extensive steelwork fitted and all of the interior replaced. In essence all that remains of the original hotel is the front and back walls.
